What is the Avatar Widget?

The Avatar Widget shows a row of reviewer avatars next to your overall rating and a short quote. It looks like the social-proof badges you see on popular product sites, and it takes very little space.

  • Stacked reviewer photos with a count such as +4k.

  • Your average rating, for example 4.9 / 5.0.

  • A short quote card below for extra credibility.

Best use cases

  • Hero sections: place it near your main headline and button.

  • Sign-up pages: remind visitors that many people already use your product.

  • Product pages: show a quick trust signal next to the price.

  • Email landing pages: add instant proof without extra scrolling.

How it helps your business

  • Instant credibility: faces and a rating tell visitors you are trusted.

  • Tiny footprint: one small block adds proof without crowding the page.

  • Boosts click-through: reassurance next to a call-to-action helps people click.

  • Human touch: real faces feel more personal than numbers alone.

Where to place it

  • Right under your homepage headline.

  • Next to the sign-up or buy button.

  • At the top of a landing page.

How to set it up

  1. Open Review Widgets and choose Avatar Widget.

  2. Click Get Started or Create New Widget.

  3. Choose your review sources in Sources.

  4. In the Header tab, turn on Overall Rating Summary to show your score.

  5. In the Post tab, keep Reviewer Photo switched on.

  6. Click Save, then Install, and paste the code into your page.

Customization tips

  • Collect reviewer photos where you can, as avatars with photos look best.

  • The initials fallback keeps the widget tidy when a photo is missing.

  • Use your brand colour for stars to match the rest of your page.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need photos for every reviewer?

No. When a photo is missing, the widget can show the reviewer initials instead.

Can I use it together with a bigger widget?

Yes. Many sites use the Avatar Widget in the hero and a Grid or Wall of Love further down the page.
