How to Convert Feedback Form Answers into Review Widgets

If you are collecting detailed feedback—such as course evaluations, client surveys, or onboarding feedback—you often want to use specific positive answers as testimonials on your website.

With ProofBeer, your participants never need to fill out a separate testimonial form. You can collect the evaluation once, and automatically map the exact questions you choose (Reviewer Name, Rating, and Testimonial Quote) directly into your Review Widgets.

Why doesn't "Responses" have a manual convert button?

On the Responses tab, you view raw survey submissions. Rather than requiring you to manually click and convert answers one-by-one for every submission, ProofBeer uses Field Mapping under Review Integrations.

Once mapped, all current and future submissions from that form are automatically processed into clean review cards for your widgets.

Step 1: Connect Your Feedback Form

1. In your ProofBeer dashboard, click Review Integrations (or Sources) from the sidebar.

2. Click + Add Source (or Add Connection).

3. Select Feedback Form from the platform options.

4. Name your connection (e.g., Course Evaluations 2026) and select your feedback form from the dropdown.

5. Click Create / Save.

Step 2: Set Up Field Mapping

In the Field Mapping window, choose which form question maps to each review field:

• Reviewer Name (Required): Select the question where the respondent enters their name (e.g., "What is your full name?").

• Star Rating (Required): Select your rating or score question (e.g., "How would you rate your overall experience?").

• Review Text / Testimonial (Required): Select the specific question whose answer you want to use as the testimonial (e.g., "What was the most valuable takeaway?" or "Share your feedback").

Click Save Field Mapping & Sync. ProofBeer will instantly sync all responses matching this mapping.

Step 3: Moderate & Curate Your Reviews (Optional)

You have full control over which testimonials go live:

1. Under Review Integrations, click on your connected form.

2. View all synced testimonials with their reviewer names, ratings, and quotes.

3. Use the action buttons to:

   • Approve / Hide: Keep only the testimonials you want to display publicly.

   • Pin to Top: Feature your best student or client reviews at the front of your widgets.

Step 4: Add to Your Review Widget

1. Navigate to Reviews / Widgets from the sidebar.

2. Create a new widget or edit an existing one (Grid, Carousel, Spotlight Slider, Horizontal Marquee, or Wall of Love).

3. Under the Data Sources tab in the widget editor, check the box next to your connected Feedback Form.

4. (Optional) Set filters, such as a Minimum Rating (e.g. 4★ & 5★ only) or Require Text.

5. Save your widget and copy the embed code snippet to paste onto your website or landing page.

FAQ

Can I change which question is used as the testimonial later?
Yes. You can edit your Field Mapping at any time under Review Integrations → your form connection → Field Mapping.

Can I combine form testimonials with Google or CSV reviews?
Yes. In the widget editor's Data Sources panel, you can select multiple sources (Feedback Forms, Google Places, Zapier, CSV imports) to display together seamlessly.
